Examples of HTML attributes

HTML attributes are used to specify extra information about certain elements. For example, the a> tag defines a hyperlink, and the href attribute specifies the URL of the linked page. Similarly, the form tag specifies the type of input to be used, and the id attribute gives an element a unique name. In essence, attributes are like “properties” for your HTML elements.

Mandatory

HTML’s required attribute specifies whether an element’s content must be filled in before it can be submitted. This attribute works with most types of input, including text, radio buttons, and check boxes. The value of the required attribute is either true or false. It can also be used to change the font family or color.

The required attribute works like a built-in validation system in HTML5. In addition, it can be used for input fields such as dates, filenames, URLs, emails, and passwords.
